This was a wonderful journey that combined both nature and culture in an
unusual and unique itinerary. We got to a number of pristine protected natural parks, small islands with lots of birds and wildlife, and we also got to see the
classic sites such as Chan Chan, Huaca de la Luna, and Pachacamac. In between we visited several wonderful high altitude valleys in the Andes, where the air is
thin and walking was hard for us, considering that we came from sea level. From the mechanics of the great Panama canal, to the native villages of the Embera,
to the fishing villages of coastal Ecuador, jungles, deserts, mountains, islands, fur seal, Blue Footed Boobies… and finally to the magnificent cold landscapes of southern Patagonia this was a journey of great contrasts, exceptional highs, and striking contrasts. |
